Mind mapping maker app: Not valid map error

Question

Hi, 

First of all, I would like to thank you for making this app available.

I´m relying on this app for all my studying. It is great.

However, I had an unpleasant surprise today when I tried to open a file from the computer and I got an error saying the file was not a valid map. 

 

Is it common to happen?

What may caused that?

Is it possible to recover the file

I checked the contents of the file.

It has been overwritten by some null values. Maybe some external programs. Did you try to open it with any other apps or programs? I don't know how it happened. It is not possible to recover your map from this file.

Is the problem happening with some other files? let me know.

So far I had no problem with other files.

I did not tried to open with other program. Not intentionally at least.
