Why doesn't the app auto save work?

I just lost a bunch of work because the app froze and had to be killed, and the work I had done was not autosaved!  Isn't that a standard feature on most web-based applications?

You can let the app auto-save your work, if you save it under 'Local Storage'.

To auto save your work, choose 'Document'->Save As and choose 'Local Storage' as your storage location. Tick 'Save automatically every minute' beneath 'Local Storage' so that it saves your file automatically every minute.

Auto-save feature is avalable for 'localstorage' maps only.
